It belongs to the people not the corporations, politicians, and most of all government. We has Americans worry about taxes, education, and other social issues. But the Internet not only represents data, information, it represents freedom and independence. Freedom in that a person can travel a million miles without leaving the comfort of their homes, freedom in that information is available to you even if your Local library closes due to budget cuts.
Freedom if the school you go to can't afford to provide you books so you read one online. Information is key, when a society of free people breaks the blinders and is able to see the truth then do they move forward. The nation that showed the world that a democracy for the people by the people works is being set back by rules that only see fit to enslave us not set us free. I understand that rights of some need to be protected but by taking the rights of the many makes no sense. I love the country that adopted me and showed me that in a nation of freedom we are free to speak and do what we want, the key is free. So I call on the nation of free people, talk to your representative and let your voices be heard. Freedom is not words on old documents but pixels on a screen.

2012 year of the dragon!

Well it's another year and this year by all accounts it should be my year. It's 2012, three years remove from graduating college and still under employed, but I am always driven to find something. That something that will challenge me, make me a little uncomfortable, and at times say I'm I really doing this. Most of all according to the lunar calendar it's the year of the dragon. Maybe the lunar calendar got it right where the Greco roman dis not. Maybe it is my year, at least I remain optimistic.
I can't help to think that you need to crawl before you can run. I've had a feeling of despair for a very long time, student loans, long time debt, and everyday bills made that feeling even worst. But in 2012 I will re-invent the way I think, stop being grumpy, smile a little and be more open to new things. Maybe that will be my new year's resolution. I need to realize that smiles not frown provide me with a better state of being.
So time to begin being more Zen that angry. So I included a picture I took in Key West that says it all.

Vibram Five Fingers

I now own two pairs of Vibram Five Fingers, Vibram Classics and Kso Trek, but by looking at this video the next pair for me will probably be the Bikila.
In using the android platform as a consumers since its inception onto the market, I can't help to think that maybe Firefox will be a great boost to their brand. Firefox on Pc's and Mac's have a huge install based and phones or smart phones will be the future for the browser. I currently use Safari, Firefox, and Google Chrome as my browsers on my unibody Macbook. Firefox seems to be my go to browser for all things on the internet. Safari has its advantages, but so does Chrome. I thinl chrome still as a ways to go and maybe a great alternative in the near future. Ultimately, Chrome on my android device works great compared to Dolphin and Opera browser on Android. Firefox mobile will probably add some needed function to Android and will make it a desirable device for people still torn between Blackberries and the iPhone. Check out the video below.

In using Googles Goggle, I realize that it becomes a handy tool for pretty much anything. But with any application that holds the beta name tag there a few things this application can not do. I am currently running Goggle on my Android powered phone, the only problem is that the camera sucks without a flash. Hoping to upgrade to the Nexus. I will be testing this application further when I put it to the test in about a month or so, when I go on vacation. Stay tuned...

Well, since buying my first vibram fivefingers I had a small amount of buyers remorse over the purchase. Most of my male friends thought the shoes looked a little femine and served no purpose if they made me look affeminate. Well after several Pilates sessions, a 5k walk for cancer awareness and countless walks about town, I would say they are the best pair of shoes I have ever owned. My fivefingers Sprint are as close to being barefoot without any of the discussing thoughts of what am I stepping on. For example, I currently work retail which requires me to stand pretty much all day on hard concrete floors. So, over the years I have bought expensive running shoes and insoles that said they work to relieve some of the stress to my feet, well they don't work. Ultimately, after years of foot pain after a long day at work, I started to walk around in my fivefingers. Finally, my feet did not hurt after work, I think mainly because of wearing my fivefingers almost everyday that my foot pain is no longer present.

Now, I am hooked on fivefingers, I am planning to purchase a black pair of KSO's for kayaking and other water sports. Plus, I am planning to go to San Francisco in February 2010 and I am buying a pair of KSO Treks to go hiking and urban hiking. I can't say how much these shoes really change my perception of walking barefoot and the benefits.Pictured below are my next pair of five fingers I plan to purchase for San Francisco.

T-mobile looks like they are trying to keep up with their mobile counterparts, I just wish they would make existing products compete rather than lag behind.I want faster 3G but I don't have it , wish they would work on current products rather thatn future products. Verizon Wireless currently is advertising their Hub which at least by what I've seen looks pretty cool. If T-mobile comes out with a similar product then I would say I want it.So, hopefully T-mobile aspirations blossom rather that wilt, because we can all use more player to drive prices down.

The American Myth....

I ran across this story while watching PBS one night, and this story really explain to me the way the deficit works and how we all have a part in this problem. Trying to stay away from issues such has politics and religion, but this is a wake up call to all those on the right and the left that continue to fight over whose the better party for the people. Well the people need leaderships, no people trying to get re-elected. I wish we all could look at the bigger picture, if healthcare reform is a solution to record deficits then let's do it. The older generation currently on or will be on Social Security need to realize that we the younger generations want what you guys have and because of you guys, we might not have it. Granted these are entiltlements that we try to stay away from, but why do generations of the past view our generations as a waste. Hope, that this story wakes everyone to the fact that it is our problem collectively not just the countries, President Obama, and Washington D.C. But we also have to look at the doctors, healthcare system, pharmaceutical and insurance companies to also share some of the blame.

Stout Dreams...Yummy....

In Lean Times, Stout Dream
